About this property

Welcome to Bungalows Andrea

Bungalows Andrea offers a tranquil stay in a homey hotel setting situated on a forested hillside in Tepoztlán, just a kilometer from the El Tepozteco ruins and three kilometers from the Santuario Los Venaditos nature preserve. Guests have access to an outdoor pool and a garden, with free Wi-Fi and parking available onsite. The location provides easy access to Highway 115D, though some visitors note that reaching the property involves navigating through vendor areas.

The accommodations include spacious bungalows that cater well to families, featuring practical in-room amenities like televisions and simple meal service. While the pool is not heated, it can be refreshing for those comfortable with cooler water. The hotel also offers additional services such as massages and a temazcal, which have received positive remarks from guests.

While the hotel's position near the start of the Tepozteco hike is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, some find the area quiet after evening hours with limited nearby dining and entertainment options. Guests traveling by car should be aware that the access roads can be steep and crowded at times. The presence of local vendors around the hotel contributes to a vibrant daytime atmosphere but may require adjustment for those expecting more nightlife nearby.

Reviews highlight friendly staff and a peaceful environment suitable for relaxation or as a base for exploring local attractions like the Archaeological Zone Tepozteco and nearby museums. Practical considerations include occasional water outages and varying experiences with booking channels. Overall, Bungalows Andrea is a solid choice for travelers seeking a laid-back, nature-oriented stay close to historical sites and hiking opportunities.

I don’t have any pictures of this I completely forgot to take some but my first impression from the outside was o a regular hotel/ motel but getting inside of our room it was big because we got the lodge and it was the same day when we went to walk around the city. My family and I came just to walk around and have a few drinks around the city but we were memorized by how beautiful the city was so we decided to stay the night and walk around in the night. But we just bought some beer and bottle and took it in our lodge. The lodge came with three rooms two baths a kitchen and a living room with a big table for like a family of six. Two rooms came with two bed and one with a king size bed and one with two queen size bed and the third one came with one queen size and a single bed. If I can go again and go visit this place again I would love to go and actually stay a couple of nights. But don’t get me wrong it was pricey for a one night it was around 3500 pesos.

This hotel is located at the start of the tepozteco hike. It was really nice to stay here and be able to park for the hike so close. It is difficult to drive to because you need to drive through the vendors to get there, but the views and the location to everything is amazing. There are lots of vendors just outside the hotel and there is restaurant service also inside the hotel.

My cousin and I were coming down from the mountain path and saw the sign for massages. We commented on how the cobblestones were taking their toll on our feet and a young lady sitting on the wall offered foot reflexology to help. My cousin said we should do it and I agreed. Cousin backed out, but I followed though and I’m so glad I did! It was a quick 15 minute session and I didn’t want it to end! But it was just what I needed to finish the walk down that lumpy path! If I could have stayed longer for more extensive massage, I sure would have stayed! It was a fantastic experience! I was there during the town carnival, but the sound of fireworks and bands didn’t bother me one bit!
